My new leading lady

Today I got tattoo numero 11 at Above All Tattoo.

Artist: Chowdah Bowl

Chowdah Bowl is doing a great job so far. I can't wait to finish her up with color and detail! I named her Linda, after my mama. Isn't she a beauty?! It's just the outline and borderline awesome but I'm pretty excited about it.

I'm thinking long flirty lashes, bright red or hot pink lips, purple or pink shells, of course the tail scales will come after the green shading along with the gold and overall shading. She's only about 20% complete...but I love her already :)

What are your thoughts on color and detail? I think she'll get finished in two weeks.

I'm a scrapper.

So those who know me know I'm a scrapper... Scrap Booker that is. I'm thinking of starting a side project. I've made cards for all holidays, scrap books for special memories, and wedding invites. I made this card for Steven. My favorite part: The pretty red button I used for a cherry :)

Advancement Day!

Today I was advanced to the next paygrade/rank. I am ESTATIC! It took a few years to get here but I finally made it. I studied my butt off and it payed off. I couldn't be more proud of myself. God was really on my side and with him & my family/friends rooting for me, I can finally call myself a second class petty officer. GO NAVY :)

I would like to take this moment to toot my own horn and say that I have the most badass job that a 25 year old female can have. I am a helicopter mechanic in the United States Navy. How effin' sweet is that?!

We got our duckies in a row.

Steven planned a picnic and paddle boat ride for me at Santee Lakes. How romantic is that! He bought a blanket and lil food pack filled with fruits and cheeses. He even brought bread to feed the duckies. It was so sweet. Just the two of us under a big tree right by the pond.

ROC-A-HOLICS!

My friends and participated in the R.O.C. 5K Challenge. It was 5K of obstacle courses full of mud puddles, monkey bars, bubbles, climbing, rope swings, belly flops, balancing, foam, paint splatter, ect. with about a 3 mile run in between it all. After completing this I had a new found respect for those people who go on Wipe Out and Double Dare. It's NOT as easy as it looks but man is it fun! I plan on doing the mud race this fall. Who wants to get messy?!

IT'S A BIRD! IT'S A PLANE! IT'S STEVEN'S BIRTHDAY!!

With the help of my side kicks I was able to throw Steven a suprise superhero themed birthday party at the Yard House Resturant & Brewery in downtown San Diego. My comic loving sweetheart was so surprised! This was the first surprise party I've ever thrown and this was his first time getting one. Win/Win!




He was supposed to have on a superman shirt but to have that be the only flaw of the event wasnt so bad. He's still the superman to my wonderwoman :)

He attacked me with this thing all weekend.
