Hello World!

I'm at a turning point in life... so what a better time to start a blog, right? My point exactly :)

I wish somebody would have told me how time flys once you graduate highschool. Why wasn't I handed some kind of head gear and one of those cute duckie floaties to protect me from the natural disaster of growing up? Why aren't mothers forced to live no further than a few miles away so you'll never have to pay for laundry or eat ramen noodles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Where is that handbook that will stop me from dating Billy Bad Ass and protect me from heartache. Boo!

At 25, I still don't have it all figured out...but I mean is there really an actual time when we all do? Will our lives ever be that completed million piece jigsaw puzzle or will we have a few pieces M.I.A.? I like to think I'm on a good course. I was thrown to the lions at 18...Toughen up or get eaten. One of my decisions that I still pat myself on the back for was joining the navy. I've seen things that others would kill to see and others have died while seeing. It was my handbook on growing up. I've experienced so much in these past few years...career changes, failed engagement, heart aches, and let downs BUT I'm proud to say at 25 I have gained something that I have struggled all my life to find: SELF HAPPINESS :)

I am really looking forward to the new year. I have my brother here in California with me. I have a love of my life named Steven and he makes me feel like a million bucks! I have the greatest friends and family by my side. I recently found God again and this time I'm not letting him go. So here's to 2012...
